Answer for
Riddle #1

The answer is:

B. Kermit the Frog.

The truly Scottish Muppet character is none other than the leader of the entire Muppet crew, Kermit the Frog.

Evidence for this conclusion may be seen on some Sesame Street episodes in which kermit encourages a young frog to be proud of his heritage by singing "an old Scottish folksong." Kermit attests that he had been taught the song by his Scottish forebears when he was a little tadpole. A frog piper, wearing a tartan plaid over his left shoulder, and a chorus of frogs wearing tartan tams, accompany Kermit as he sings:

The nightingale sings such a beautiful tune.
You can listen all night by the light of the moon.
My song's not as pretty, but I'll sing it again:
I am proud to be one of the frogs in the glen.

The butterfly is such a colorful thing,
With orange and yellow, and black on its wing.
Well, I'm only green, but I'll say it again:
I am proud to be one of the frogs in the glen.

The deer can jump higher,
The fish can swim faster
Than ever a froggy can;
But a deer can't dive deep,
And a fish can't "Re-beep,"
So I'm proud to be what I am.

Be proud of your flippers, and the flies you can catch,
And the logs that you leap, and the eggs you will hatch.
We're under the stars, and we're smaller than men,
But I'm proud to be one of the frogs in the glen.

Now sing it with me, and we'll say it again:
"I am proud to be one of the frogs in the glen."

The clues provided by this song led us to further question about Kermit and his Scottish heritage: Of what glen does Kermit sing? To which Scottish clan does he belong? After extensive and painstaking research we are proud to announce that Kermit the Frog is qualified to take his rightful place as a member of Clan Lindsay USA. The glen of which Kermit is so proud is Glenesk, and Kermit can trace his ancestors to that region through the Lindsay sept "Froggeringham," members of which of which still live on the banks of the Esk River.
