The Hearaldry Society of Scotland The Heraldry Society of Scotland was founded in 1977 with the objective of promoting the study of heraldry and encouraging its correct use in Scotland and Overseas.
  An Annotated Bibliography of Scottish Heraldic Materials Contains a reference to the book, Court and Culture in Renaissance Scotland, Edington, Carol, University of Massachusetts Press, Amherst, 1994. This book discusses Sir David Lindsay of the Mount.
  Gazetteer for Scotland Offers information about James Bowman Lindsay (1799-1862) and Sir David Lindsay (1486 - 1555). Contains information about the Lindsay settlements of Colinsburg, Kilnoq, and Piscottie.
